Why do dental professionals struggle to maintain consistent social media presence? The demanding nature of dental practice leaves little time for content creation, while the complexity of dental topics requires concise yet accurate explanations.
Many dentists find themselves caught between clinical responsibilities and the need for audience understanding through engaging digital content.
Creating diverse social media posts presents unique challenges. HIPAA compliance necessitates obtaining written patient consent for testimonials or before/after photos, adding administrative burden.
Meanwhile, content efficiency suffers when practitioners must adapt materials for multiple platforms—what works on TikTok differs substantially from LinkedIn and Facebook content.
Dentists must also balance educational posts with more engaging formats like videos and polls, requiring varied skill sets.
Additionally, staying current with rapidly evolving platform trends demands ongoing learning and strategy adjustments.
Benefits of Social Media for Dentists

Despite the challenges in creating content, social media offers dentists remarkable advantages that can transform their practice growth. With access to nearly 3 billion users, platforms like Facebook provide unprecedented visibility in any geographic area. This reach translates directly to improved patient retention as practices stay top-of-mind through regular engagement.
Dental practices benefit from cost-effective social media marketing compared to traditional advertising. Patient testimonials and before-and-after photos not only showcase expertise but build the social proof necessary for brand loyalty.
Educational content positions dentists as authorities while addressing common concerns, making patients feel valued and understood. Behind-the-scenes glimpses humanize dental teams. Interactive content like brushing technique challenges will attract and engage clients who are experiencing the exact problems your practice wants to solve.
These connections foster trust that converts followers into lifelong patients.
Tips to Create Compelling Social Content for Dentists
Creating compelling social media content as a dentist doesn’t require a marketing degree, but it does demand strategic planning and understanding your audience’s needs. Developing consistent content themes helps establish your practice’s unique voice in a crowded digital landscape.
Focus on educational posts that showcase your expertise. Address common concerns like dental anxiety. Patient testimonials and before/after photos build trust and demonstrate real results.
For maximum audience engagement, post during peak hours and experiment with diverse formats—short videos perform particularly well for dental demonstrations.
Involve your entire team in content creation, assigning responsibilities based on individual strengths. Track engagement metrics regularly and adjust your strategy based on what resonates with followers.
Optimizing Engagement Through Visuals
Visual content is the backbone of successful social media engagement for dental practices. The human brain processes images in just 13 milliseconds, making visual storytelling essential for capturing immediate attention in crowded feeds.
When dental practices share high-quality visuals, they generate 2.3 times more engagement on Facebook and 1.5 times more on Twitter compared to text-only posts.
Authentic imagery consistently outperforms stock photos in building trust with potential patients. Consider showcasing your team’s personalities through behind-the-scenes content like office celebrations or team introductions.
Before-and-after photos of cosmetic procedures demonstrate real results. Educational infographics simplify complex dental concepts for your audience. Patient success stories (with proper consent) create powerful testimonials that prospective patients can relate to.
Local Social Link™ – Outsourced Content and Posting for Dentists

Examples of social media content for dentists from Local Social Link
Despite the well-known benefits of social marketing, many dental practices struggle to maintain a consistent social media presence. In our experience, it takes 20-30 hours a month for a dental practice to manage social campaigns in-house. At an average labor cost of about $50/hour, that means a monthly cost of up to $1500 or more. Even so, when its done right, it’s well worth it.
Yet there is a simple workaround for those practices that don’t have staff to dedicate to social media management.
Local Social Link™ offers a thorough solution specifically designed for busy dentists. This done-for-you service handles everything from content creation to daily posting across multiple platforms. It ensures your dental branding remains active without consuming valuable staff time.
For just $97/month, Local Social Link™™ delivers:
- Professional, dentistry-specific content
- Eye-catching visuals tailored to oral health topics and branded with your information
- Strategic posting to Facebook, Google Business Profile, and more
- Proper hashtags and captions to maximize local marketing reach
The setup process is remarkably easy:
– Submit your logo and website
– Let us handle the rest
We brand the images with your logo and/or website URL. We add captions with relevant hashtags. We then schedule and automatically post on your primary social media channels.
All you or your staff need to do is reply to inquiries from clients.
You’ll build patient trust and visibility while saving approximately 20-30 hours monthly that would otherwise be spent on social media management.

It’s pretty fast. Once we get your logo and URL, we’re ready to start posting within 10-14 business days. Posting starts as soon as we get your final approval.
How do I order?
Simply click any Order button on this page. If you get stuck, reach out to us on the Contact Us page and we’ll get you started.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes, you can cancel any time after your first 3 paid months. Also, if you change your mind in the first 48 hours after placing your order, you can cancel and get a refund. After 48 hours, we will have already begun work on your project, in which case you can cancel after 3 months.
How does billing work?
Once your payments start, you’re billed once a month on the anniversary date of your first payment. All payments are pre-payments for the upcoming month.
Can I get a refund?
You can cancel your order within 48 hours. Just reply to your welcome email with your request. After 48 hours, no refund is available because we will already have begun work on your Local Social Link project. You can however, cancel any time after three months.
Is posting more than once a day too much?
No, it’s not. According to Hubspot and MANY other studies, posting on Facebook at least once a day is necessary. Keep in mind, not everyone is going to see every post. So by posting twice a day, you insure your fans hear from you at least once a day. On other channels such as Google Business Profile and LinkedIn, one post a day is a good frequency.
Equally important as frequency, and perhaps a bit more so, is consistency and quality. Sporadic posting doesn’t do much for your page or your business. Our professional, engaging graphics ensure you are supplying high quality content on a consistent basis.
Is a contract required?
No. You can cancel Local Social Link™ at any time after the first 3 months. We require a 3-month minimum due to the significant work we do on our end to get your campaign created and running on your social media channels.
Also, there will never be any price increase for the service once you begin working with us!
Won’t all my competitors be using these same images?
No, it’s highly unlikely. Here’s why.
For any given population of businesses, only a small percentage will commit to a product. For instance, when selling any kind of product or service, a 1% conversion rate from a cold list is considered great. In other words, if there are 100 similar businesses in your area and we hit every one of them up to the best of our ability, the odds are that we’d only get 1 out of the 100 to become a client.
Speaking from many years of sales experience with thousands of clients, as well as from a statistical viewpoint, it’s practically impossible to saturate any given geographic area.
Also, it doesn’t matter if your competitors use the same images. The fact is, it’s highly unlikely that your clients will be following more than one or two businesses in your niche, especially if they are already your customer. They’ll be following YOU and not your competitors.
However, if you want to put your mind at ease, just ask me on our Contact form if anyone is using LSL in your target area and I’ll let you know. Odds are that you are the first.
Is it safe to share my social media accounts?
Yes, it is safe. We follow all current Facebook and social media channel rules to the letter. They have strict security protocols. And remember, Facebook and social media company pages were designed specifically for teams to work together. You, as the administrator, always control your account and all matters relating to it. We are simply part of your editorial support team.
Can I re-share, re-use or delete the posts once you post them?
Yes. Use and re-use as much as you like. You can also delete any post at any time. And if you don’t want something to re-post, simply ask us to remove it from the list.
Can I still do my own posts in addition to yours?
Yes. You can post anything, any time. The more you engage with your local clients, the better the results.
Can I preview the campaign images before you begin posting?
Yes. You get a chance to preview the images before we begin automatic posting. We’ll remove any images you don’t want to include.
Can you edit the images themselves, the animations (if applicable), or the text on the image?
While it is possible to edit the images themselves, this is not included as part of the basic Local Social Link™ service. If you want further graphic customization, contact us for an estimate based on your needs.
