No one is surprised any more by the wild popularity of video marketing. They’re a necessity. Yet you don’t want to invest all that time and effort in video production only to forget about one crucial element—the call to action (CTA.)

How to Create a Compelling Video CTA

As with any direct response marketing, videos should always include a call to action.

What is a Video CTA (Call to Action)?

In marketing, a call-to-action (CTA) is any component of marketing content that gets a viewer, listener, or reader to take a specific action that engages them further with the business. CTA’s can be used with or in video to increase the video’s effectiveness.

The Rise of Video Marketing is Important to Small Business

Video use in marketing is on the rise, according to the latest video marketing data from Hubspot:

•    81% of businesses use video as a marketing tool, up from 63% in 2017

•    99% of them will continue to use video going forward

•    65% of those who don’t use video say they plan to start

•    The average person watches 1.5 hours of video a day, with 15% of those surveyed watching 3 or more hours per day

•    76% of businesses say video increases sales

•    47% say it reduces support queries

•    76% say it increases traffic

•    When both text and video are available on the same page, 72% prefer video to learn about your product

Whatever your product or service, you really can’t afford to ignore video.

Using a Video CTA in Video Content

As with any other type of content, videos are only effective if there is some type of call to action associated with it. Obviously, you want the viewer to move further along in your process once they finished viewing.
